Sunday Parkways May 16th

For its third year, the popular Car Free Weekends on Cliff Drive expands into Kansas City’s first Ciclovia, the international movement to temporarily close city streets and open them to people.

Sunday, May 16th, Noon – 4:00 p.m.

Cliff Drive and Gladstone Boulevard in the Old Northeast. Between the KC Museum and the Indian Mound.

The streets will open for people to walk, run, bike, rollerblade, skate board, socialize, and just enjoy the neighborhood. Family-friendly activities include live music, food and beverages, bike checks and helmets for kids, storytellers, history walks, yoga, dog shows, and much more.

Get all the details, schedule of activities, and a map from the KCMO Parks Department.

Future Sunday Parkways

If this first event is successful the City hopes to expand to multiple events during the summer, in each Council District.
